My Work-outs

Weight 154

I'm giving another big push at losing at least five more pounds.

I have cut back on the exercise. I'm still doing a lot. I do the elliptical for an hour five days a week. I work out on the weight machines three times a week. I do need to add either Saturday or Sunday to the schedule.

But I haven't been doing the dance videos. I miss them because my stretches are in them. But first the DVD machine broke. Then Beloved Daughter showed my how to use the Playstation to play them. So I did them for a couple of days. Then this guy started hitting on me at the gym. I started going earlier to avoid him. But I didn't get the videos done before I went to gym and so just didn't get them done. I think the second "no" may have taken. So I'll try and get back on schedule.

My use of the hula-hoop is sketchier than I'd like. I think it's just a matter of remembering it whenever I read and working up again. (If I use it too much without working up, my stomach hurts.)

I changed back to my original ellipitical machine today. The other one has been giving me really high readings on my heart rate. I thought it was just reading high, but it's hard to avoid the flashing red light. Yes, my perceived exertion was higher on this one but my heart rate lower. So I was able to go for an hour.

How did that happen? Yesterday it was 152 and I've been watching what I eat and exercising. How could this be right? It's the same scale.

Well, I anticipated a 5 pound weight gain from the Thanksgiving away and was pleasantly surprised at 152. Today's is what I really anticipated.

I realized that it had been almost a month since I did my dance videos. The machine wouldn't turn on and I couldn't figure out why. Cragin looked at it. The plug wasn't plugged in. So Monday I started again, but it has been a while.

This is what I ate and did yesterday.

The first value is the time and the second is my blood glucose level. ( XX:XX/XXX)
I eliminated all carbohydrates except from vegetables on Monday. Tuesday I added back yoghurt ( which was fine) and the apple. I don't know about the apple. I ate it late at night. My glucose level was 140 right before bed, but that wasn't two hours after eating the apple.

I copied and pasted the table from Excel, which explains the weird look.

So I have been exercising and eating mostly right, even if I haven't been writing it down.

Writing it down is the best thing for the eating right bit.

Using the hula hoop while I read is an option I like, but I don't seem to do it much.

Eating right is a challenge, especially at night. I need to eat more vegetables at night.

Traveling is a real issue. The place we stayed over Thanksgiving didn't have an exercise room, although we did the Cliff Walk three days. Eating at restaurants still a challenge.

Wow, it's been a while

I've added going to Lee District's exercise room with Beloved Daughter. I do the elliptical, cool down on the treadmill, and then read while on the bike. I no longer walk Daisy. She started limping. It was just too much for her. So basically it's the two exercise videos and the exercise room.
